2001 Tomb Raider Movie Triangle Of Light

[ By Kurt Bastelt  ]

Hi :) This is Kurt from www.youtube.com/kurtbastelt

In this short tutorial, I’ll explain how I made my “triangle of light”.

First, I cut out 2 foam triangles (25cmx25cmx25cm),
1 triangle of styrofoam (3cm thick)
in the same measurements and 3 strips of craft foam.

Then I drew the design on one of the foam triangles and used my soldering iron to burn the design in the surface.

I used drawing pins to attach the craft foam strips on the outside of the Styrofoam triangle and glued the foam triangle onto the Styrofoam.
make sure the glue of your hot glue gun is only warm or otherwise the hot glue will melt the Styrofoam.

After you glued all the pieces onto the Styrofoam, you can give the triangle a base coat of black acrylic paint. Use spray paint and acrylic paint to give it a metallic look.

Put some black paint in the deeper areas and some lighter colors on the edges of the design to give it more dimension.

And thats it 🙂 Your Triangle of light is done.
Please message me on facebook.com/kurtbastelt
or youtube.com/kurtbastelt if you got any questions.
I’d love to help you out.

Have fun!
