&
Our 7th year anniversary celebration

The Results:
Hello Everyone !

We are delighted to inform all of you, that Jenifer Morgan's Charity Tomb Raider Auction was a roaring success! We raised over 1000 dollars for MacMillan Cancer Support.

In the interest of transparency, we are providing everyone with these invoices and record of the transaction with Paypal's Giving Works. Along with the feedback received from the buyers so far.

This is not the first time I've ever handled something like this for the community but never of this magnitude, so i would like to say thank you to Jenifer Morgan for this selfless act and for putting her trust and faith in me to run this event for her, (although she did most of the work ^_^ )
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who bid, shared and promoted this auction, it meant a lot to us.

Sara.

The Announcement:

Hello fellow raiders!

Today I would like to invite you to join us on eBay.com for our 7th anniversary celebration!

We are hosting 7 auctions for fellow raider Jennifer Morgan, in the name of charity, and are auctioning off some of the most amazing tomb raider gear you could get your hands on.

100% of the proceeds will go to MacMillan Cancer Support

This is your chance to contribute to a great cause and get a beautifully made costume pieces.

So, to start with: Lot 1 - the ‘Classic Lara’ belt and backpack (together with the associated top and shorts)
Modelled on the ‘Official Lara’ costume worn in the late 1990’s by Nell McAndrew and Lara Weller - these are top quality items professionally fabricated in real leather and machine stitched throughout.
The belt and backpack were part of the original costume used by Jenny Morgan for various PA and promotional events in the early 2000’s, which included television appearances on ITV’s Blind Date, BBC2’s 'I Love the 90’s’, BBC3’s Celebdaq, and the Lethal & Loaded DVD documentary.
They have since been in storage for the past 10 years.

More detailed information:
Gun-belt and Holsters: The all-lether gun-belt features a fabricated brass buckle that allows adjustment on the waist straps using velco. The holsters and leg-staps are also leather, and pivot on the main belt for mobility. Also included is a pair of replica (BB) Beretta pistols in silver, that are further held in place with velcro pads inside the holsters, and can be quickly released as required.

Backpack: A more accurate representation of the Video Game backpack than the 'official costume’, this all-leather satchel style backpack features metal hardware and is fully usable as an everyday bag if required. It is currently filled with a foam block to help retain it's shape for modelling purposes.
The belt and backpack are both fully adjustable and will fit a wide range of body sizes.

Top and Shorts: Unfortunately the original Latex top and shorts from the original costume have perished with time, but have been replaced with these alternatives which are perhaps more authentic to the original video game. The Top is stretchy cotton in size M (typically UK 12/14), the shorts also size M with approximately a 28 inch waist.

Lot 2 - the ‘Angel of Darkness’ (AoD) gun-belt and backpack (together with the associated top and shorts)
After 5 years on the original Playstation, to coincide with the introduction of the PS2, the Tomb Raider franchise was rebooted with a more detailed and all together ‘darker’ version of Lara Croft for the [eventual] 2003 release ‘Angel of Darkness’.
Official stills from the game were made public as part of development during 2002, and this costume was created to properly replicate the game details as closely as possible (something the subsequent ‘official’ costume worn by Jill de Jong lacked). Again it was professionally fabricated in real leather, with detailed metal hardware and replica pistols; and together with accurate representations of the video game shorts and top, was subsequently featured in a series of photographs for the inaugural Game On exhibition at the London Barbican Centre (which charted the history of video gaming so far…) at the request of and with the blessing of the game’s developers Core Design.

More detailed information:
Gun-belt and Holsters: The all-lether gun-belt features a solid machined brass buckle that allows adjustment on the waist straps using velco. The holsters and leg-staps are also leather, and have quick-release buckles to remove them from the main belt. Also included is a pair of replica (BB) H&K USP Match pistols (the same as the TR Movie guns) in black/silver, that are further held in place with velcro pads inside the holsters, and can be quickly released as required.

Backpack: A more accurate representation of the Video Game backpack than the 'official costume’, this soft leather satchel style backpack features metal hardware and contrasting brown leather detailing, and is fully usable as an everyday bag if required. It is currently filled with bubble-wrap to help retain it's shape for modelling purposes.
The belt and backpack are both fully adjustable and will fit a wide range of body sizes.

Top and Shorts: The top is stretchy lycra/cotton mix in o/s (anything from a UK 10-14+) and is full length, but can be folded/cropped (as shown in the photos) depending on how much tummy you want to show. The shorts have been dyed to properly replicate the green camo design of the AoD video game, and are size M with approximately a 27-28 inch waist.

 Lot 3 - the ‘Area 51’ costume from TR3
A far more practical Lara costume for many cosplayers, the ‘Area 51’ crop-top and camo pants combination is certainly one of the more recognisable alternative outfits from the original Tomb Raider series of games.
This costume was only used for three or four photo shoots, together with a couple of PAs.

The top is a stretchy lycra/cotton mix in size L (approx. UK 12/14+) and is in as-new condition (the original replaced with this spare one). The blue camo combat pants are slightly faded, but still in excellent condition - and have a waist size of 28 inches (with a degree of adjustability).
Also included are a couple of props: a realistic green ‘medi-pac’ and one of the limited edition ‘Larazade’ Lucozade bottles (empty) that were part of the original Tomb Raider Movie promotion.
They have since been in storage for the past 10 years.

Lot 4 - the ‘Russian base’ costume from TR Chronicles.
An exceptionally rare and difficult costume to replicate authentically, this is a must for any fan of the original Tomb Raider series of games!
This costume is essentially as new - having only been worn once for a studio photo-shoot in 2002, and stored since then. Note. there is a slight discolouration mark on one trouser leg from storage, but this only adds to the authenticity perhaps!

The genuine Military Surplus jacket is a (mens’ size) S, which is approximately a 38-40 inch chest size and can be adjusted on the waist for a snug fit. The pants are size 28 waist, and again have a degree of adjustment.
Also included in a wool beanie hat (o/s stretchy) and a pair of compact binoculars that accurately replicate the game image.

Lot 5 - the ’Sola westsuit’ costume from TR2.
Perhaps the hardest of all the original Tomb Raider costumes to replicate authentically, this is a genuine SOLA shorty Energy Titanium wetsuit, that was only available for a limited period in 1999.
Core Design based the actual game suit on this model, and this example is essentially as new and in excellent condition - having only been worn once for a studio photo-shoot in 2002, and stored since then.

The size is Ladies MLG (medium large), so approximately UK 12/14.
It would make the perfect addition to any Classic Lara cosplay wardrobe - you really would have an outfit for any occasion! - or you could simply use it as a wetsuit with a nod to those in the know ;o)
note. this item will be rolled/folded to minimise the cost for shipping.

Lot 6 - the ’Classic Lara’ boots (and sock tops)
Unlike the New Rock style boots worn by most of the ‘Official Lara’ lookalike models, these boots were created to more accurately replicate the original video game image.
Similar to the Doctor Martin classic 8 hole design, they were dyed and polished, and contrasting laces added - and are the perfect hight to be worn with rolled socks (included) and offer for greater mobility for action sequences than New Rock or similar. In fact they would be perfect for day to day wear too if desired.

UK size 8/Euro 42, they are in excellent condition. Also included are a pair of cream coloured ‘sock tops’ to replicate the thick woollen socks (see photo 3), but without you having to wear thick socks inside the boots.
These boots were part of the original costume used by Jenny Morgan for various PA and promotional events in the early 2000’s, which included television appearances on ITV’s Blind Date, BBC2’s 'I Love the 90’s’, BBC3’s Celebdaq, and the Lethal & Loaded DVD documentary.
They have since been in storage for the past 10 years.

Lot 7 - various Lara Croft sunglasses & accessories
Three pairs of sunglasses, cataloguing the evolution of the 'Lara look’ over the years, plus original leather gloves/mitts and hair-piece.
The glasses collection include the Classic original round ‘John Lennon’ style with iridium lenses, the more contemporary Angel of Darkness style, and a pair of Tomb Raider Movie replica glasses similar to those worn by Angelina Jolie in the first film.

The leather mitts are well used but in good worn-in condition, and together with the ‘Classic’ sunglasses, were part of the original costume used by Jenny Morgan for various PA and promotional events in the early 2000’s, which included television appearances on ITV’s Blind Date, BBC2’s 'I Love the 90’s’, BBC3’s Celebdaq, and the Lethal & Loaded DVD documentary.
Similarly the Angel of Darkness glasses were part of the costume that featured in the photo series for the GAME ON exhibition in the London Barbican in 2002.

The hairpiece is a high quality (synthetic) extension which can be woven in to your existing hair to extend the ponytail, or used as is if you have short hair.
They have since been in storage for the past 10 years.
